I’ve been training engineers since 2011. Started as a Big Nerd Ranch instructor delivering Objective-C and Cocoa Touch curriculum to engineering teams at Facebook, LinkedIn, and the Library of Congress. Returned to BNR as faculty after starting there as a student. Technical reviewer for Objective-C Programming: The Big Nerd Ranch Guide.

What I Teach Now

Current focus: how working engineers wire AI tooling into their day-to-day — Claude Code, MCP tool design, agentic debugging, refactoring with coverage, and the calibration question (where AI accelerates vs. where human judgment is load-bearing). The same mentoring posture: senior engineers learning a new layer, not beginners learning to code.
