Senior iOS engineer with 17 years shipping native — since the App Store’s first year. Tech lead at IBM iX delivering Citibank’s first all-Swift retail banking app (top-5 Finance app at the time) and the Citi Mobile Apple Watch companion (icon featured on stage at Apple’s Watch launch). Feature delivery at American Express (Send & Split P2P payments), Capital One (Travel & Benefits), and Walmart’s flagship retail app. Currently building agentic on-device iOS products on Foundation Models and App Intents at Fork Development. Open to Principal IC, Tech Lead, or iOS Architect roles.
Experience
Founder & iOS Engineer — Fork Development Corp.
2025 – Present · Remote · Self (LLC)
Platr Walk (in active development): First iOS app in the Platr property-intelligence suite. Full MapKit integration with live PostGIS REST API. Caught and fixed a silent rendering failure where ArcGIS county exports (MultiPolygon throughout) were being dropped by Polygon-only handling. After fix, all 35,055 county parcels render on first load. Covered by golden-thread integration tests against the live backend.
Platr Chatr (in development): Building an on-device agentic iOS app on Foundation Models and App Intents (iOS 26+). Typed App Intents as the tool-calling layer — model dispatches, receives typed Swift structs, composes cited answers from returned data. Architectural constraint: the intents are the only data path the model can take, which closes the most common hallucination vector. SwiftData conversation history with full citation provenance per response.
Taxr iOS suite (2025–present): Building 5 iOS apps with Swift concurrency throughout — async/await networking, actor-isolated state, structured Task management. Distributed via the Taxr web app rather than the App Store.
PreventScripts MCP server (2025): Swift-based MCP server enabling ops-team data exploration on a HIPAA-regulated remote patient monitoring platform.

Built the Send & Split peer-to-peer payments feature in the AmEx iOS app. Test-driven Swift in a compliance-first financial services environment. Reactive patterns (pre-Combine) for asynchronous payment state and security validation.

Feb 2015 – Jan 2018 · New York, NY / Remote · W2
Citi Mobile (2015–2016 [TBD verify dates]): Led delivery of Citibank’s first all-Swift retail banking iOS app — a top-5 Finance app at the time. Architected the data, navigation, and security layers; those patterns were adopted by multiple other Citi mobile teams. Shipped the Citi Mobile Apple Watch companion in the same engagement — icon featured on stage at Apple’s Watch launch event in Cupertino.
CitiGold Expansion (2016–2017 [TBD verify dates]): Follow-on engagement earned on Citi Mobile delivery. Full-stack investment and trading feature — Java/Spring backend interfacing to an external trading house, Swift frontend. Presented architecture to Citibank’s CEO.
Coca-Cola geofenced rewards (2017 [TBD verify dates]): Background-aware CoreLocation geofencing, push notifications, real-time reward delivery across a national customer base.

CoachCal (partnership with John Calipari): #1 App Store ranking, Sports category, 2009. Full App Store lifecycle from build to submission.
Kentucky Sports Radio, zRecord Pro, Murray State University App, Blue Schedule — [TBD: 5 or 6] shipped App Store titles in the first iOS era.
AI-assisted engineering (since 2022): Claude Code (agentic workflows), MCP tool design and Swift integration, Foundation Models on-device, LLM-assisted debugging, refactoring, code analysis, and test generation
On-device agentic inference: Building an on-device LLM app on Foundation Models by wiring typed App Intents as the tool-calling layer — the intents are the only data path the model can take, which closes the most common hallucination vector.
Architectural direction and calibrated review: Prompt agents with the patterns I want, not just the outcome — supplying the structural intent that an agent can’t have. Review output at the shape level for the failure modes specific to Apple platforms: actor reentrancy, SwiftUI invalidation thrash, mixed Swift/ObjC ownership, Foundation Models token-budget interactions with Transcript growth. The patterns agents are trying to follow are patterns I’ve been writing by hand since Cocoa was new on OS X.
MCP tool design: Built Swift MCP servers so an LLM could query live regulated data mid-session — eliminated the context switch to Instruments or console that breaks investigation flow.
Agentic dev loops: Ran agentic refactor loops — agent proposes, test suite confirms — across UIKit→SwiftUI migrations and Obj-C modernization at codebases where manual review would miss the consistency failures.
AI-assisted reverse engineering: Extracted production data from a 1980s Windows system by building DLL introspection tooling with Claude-assisted workflows — data that hadn’t been accessible in decades, delivered as structured exports.
Co-founded; built original Obj-C iOS app and led migrations to React Native (2016) and Flutter (2020), personally rewriting the BLE scale integration in Dart. Currently advisory; tech handed off to a contractor. HIPAA context throughout.
