315 Broadway

One commercial lot. Forty-one feet by a hundred forty-four. The same service that runs on rural acreage, applied to a single downtown parcel.

Toggle the layers in the top-left to switch between the high-res aerial, OpenStreetMap, or a dark base; add overlays for the parcel boundary, neighboring buildings, or ridge-and-valley shape (downtown is mostly flat, so this overlay is quiet here). Pan and zoom freely. Neighboring building outlines come from a machine-detected dataset and may sit a few feet off the actual building — useful for confirming a structure exists, not for precise placement.

For clients who want the story: toggle the Campability layer in the map and downtown Paducah lights up — a flat bench of land just back from where the Tennessee meets the Ohio. Long before this lot was platted as 1-22-16, that bench was the reason people stopped here at all. The Mississippian peoples camped on it; the Chickasaw used it; Clark’s surveyors called it “Pekin” before it was Paducah; the steamboat trade kept stopping because the ground was kind to a tent and a wagon. The same flat-and-firm ground that made the riverfront a town site in the first place. (See Turkey Bay for the full definition of campability — where it lives as the canonical layer.)

The alley runs along the NW (rear) side of the lot, terminating at Jefferson Street. It's a public right-of-way — not a separately assessed parcel, so it doesn't appear in the county roll or TIGER — but it's traceable in the polygon geometry as a 7-foot notch at the NW corner of 315: the boundary with 333 Broadway covers only ~34 feet of that side, with the remaining ~7 feet inset to accommodate the alley's southern connection. It shows up cleanly in the ortho — the rear-side access point for this lot.
